How to Foster

There are several steps to becoming a foster home for the Rocky Road Husky Rescue to ensure that our huskies are placed with qualified, experienced, educated, and safe temporary families. We are so happy that you are taking the first step to save a life of a husky or husky mix rescued from the Texas Coastal Bend. There are huskies waiting to be cared for in a safe, loving, and understanding home.

Step 1: Apply

Apply to foster by downloading a PDF of the foster application or by completing our online form. The completed PDF application, can be emailed to adoptions@rockyroadhuskyrescue.org.

Step 2: Interview

Once we receive your application, our application coordinator will assign it to a processor. They will then call your references, do a vet check if you have current animals, and schedule a home visit. Please allow up to 2 weeks for completion of this step.

Step 3: Placement

Once your application is approved, we will contact you as soon as a husky needs a foster home.
